    Tri-S Investigations, Inc.

Tri-S Investigations, Inc. was founded in 1996 by a female Social Worker who had worked with extremely troubled youth and their families advocating for them in the legal system for nearly a decade. That founding background gives Tri-S a completely different flavor than any other investigative style  than you will find. While most private investigators come from a law enforcement or pro-prosecution background, our investigators naturally come from a pro-defense background. Nancy Skinner is the President and founder of Tri-S Investigations, Inc. and continues to work as a criminal defense investigator while supervising our staff  and the day to day operation of the firm. Our firm is one of the largest in the State of West Virginia.

Nancy's original goal of just ‘being her own boss’ quickly gave way to building a staff of competent investigators to meet the overwhelming response to the need for investigative services with a social work twist. Now our  motto of “Balancing the Scales of Justice” is the driving force behind our desire to provide innately skilled, highly educated and specially trained investigators to meet the needs of the legal, corporate, and private communities. We continue to maintain the original ethical approach and straightforward style of investigations that were originally developed in the early stages of the firm. This has allowed us to have a healthy, mutually respectful working relationship with local law enforcement agencies in this inherently adversarial system. Tri-S Investigations is dedicated to preserving the integrity of the profession and more importantly, upholding the “Constitution of the United States of America” and all of the rights that are inherent in that document, to both defendants and civilians alike. At Tri-S we believe that are founding fathers and the designers of the Constitution were brilliantly visionary in their dream of a country where ten guilty men should walk free before one innocent man would hang.
