Schaad Detective Agency's History and Philosophy
Schaad Detective Agency, Inc., was established in 1972 by Russell C. Schaad, a retired captain of detectives of the York City Police Department and Russell L. Wantz, Jr. At the time of it's inception only these two men worked for the agency.
During the early years, Schaad Detective Agency devoted its primary operation to investigative services. In 1975, Mr. Wantz visualized a need in the York, Pennsylvania area for a professional security service. After the death of Mr. Schaad in 1977, Russell Wantz obtained full ownership of the company, and he has been instrumental in it's growth. He devoted many long hours into developing what has become the area's largest locally owned security agency. Schaad Detective Agency has progressed from its small beginning to over five hundred men and women who are currently employed today as professional security officers.
Schaad Detective Agency is currently supplying security and investigative services throughout central Pennsylvania as well as West Virginia. We feel that the key to our growth is our in depth personnel selection, twenty four (24) hour supervision combined with our modern radio communication system. Our goal for the future is to expand throughout the area and continue to provide the same high quality of service to our clients as we have in the past. This quality of service has enabled us to experience a rapid growth over the past few years. Since we do not advertise, we realize that the quality service which we provide to our clients is the reason we are successful in a very competitive industry.
Our company offers the advantage of being local, and we are responsive enough that if you had a problem that required the attention of the owner of the company, you could speak directly to Mr. Wantz.
We are regularly in contact with perspective clients from the moment a proposal is given to you and throughout the contractual agreement. We feel that by being aware of our client's needs and assessing the service to be provided ensures a more positive working relationship at all times.
