    What Is Freelance Security?

Freelance Security is an online market place for buyers of security services to find private investigators, bodyguards and security consultants and compare prices and capabilities online. Buyers post their projects online for review by private investigators and security consultants who bid on the project and post details of their proposed investigation, bodyguard project or security solution.

    How Do I Get Started?

You can start by browsing through the lists of open investigation, close protection and security projects for the ones that you are interested in and are confident that you are able to properly complete.  You can then sign up and start bidding on these projects, and during sign up you will choose your areas of expertise so that you can be notified of any new projects that match your areas of expertise directly by e-mail when the project is posted, so that you can bid on the ones that interest you.  We have also provided Project Message Boards to enable you to ask the Buyer any questions that you feel necessary to enable an accurate and well considered bid.

Once you have placed a bid you do have the option to retract or amend it.  This can be done through the "Manage Account" option. However, please ensure that your bids comply with our Terms & Conditions, and in particular that you do not include any direct contact information in your bids or profile, or that you do not submit bids based on an hourly or daily rate. Bids should be for the completion of the whole project, so if you need more information before you submit such a bid just ask the Buyer through the Project Message Boards.

You will be notified by email whether or not your bid was successful, and if successful you will be asked to accept the project. When the project is accepted, you will be provided with your new client's contact details to begin work on the project.

    Signing Up?

When you sign up you are given a list of categories that you can choose that best describe your abilities, for example general private investigator, fraud investigator, bodyguard, physical security consultant and many more .  You can select as many as you wish, however as this is used in the automatic notification of projects please be sure to select only those that are relevant to you and which you may are genuinely interested in bidding for and subsequently working on.  You should also enter a couple of paragraphs giving details of your abilities and experience, and you are welcome to upload a logo or other photo or image. However please ensure that any logo or image does not breach our restrictions on posting contact details.

Any projects that are later posted by Buyers and that match your area of expertise will automatically be notified to you by email.  Should you wish to turn off e-mail notifications you can do this by logging in to the account management area.
