Security Department AFFILIATED INVESTIGATIONS CORP. (A.I.C) is unique for several reasons. Our staff has been in the business of supplying security officers for more than 20 years! In that period of time we are proud to have developed an excellent reputation in providing the maximum security possible at mutually agreed responsible billing rates.
Our company, operated by former law enforcement professionals, has evolved into a modern and highly effective security company.
At A.I.C, clients can expect a close personal relationship, designed to ensure the satisfaction of our service. To our clients we designate key executive staff to put our program in place and closely monitor your approval!
The management of A.I.C has over 20 years of combined experience in the Private Security and Public Law Enforcement field. This enables A.I.C to have more operating experience and longevity than all but a handful of firms.
The large national security companies tend to have strayed from the idea of close personal and quality security service and concentrate more on their billing and profits.
Conversely, A.I.C did not recently jump into the security field to take advantage of increased requirements for private security. We are professionals who have existed through the years because WE GET THE JOB DONE.
Our highly diversified clientele have, through the years, presented us with virtually every imaginable type of security situation. We are proud of the manner in which we have resolved this myriad of security problems and the professional methods that we have developed.
Our uniformed security officers are dressed in NYPD type uniforms and report for duty in full proper uniform, The proper weather equipment is assigned for their use. Our supervisors will make frequent unscheduled stops at their sites to elevate the level of performance and personal appearance of our security officers. We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate against any applicant or employee for any reason other than his or her qualifications and ability to perform their duties.
We have security officers who have been with A.I.C for many years and a squad of the finest officers in this area for special duty, such as community meetings and other high profile events.
TRAINING
We view each applicant in terms of placement in one of three categories: Uniformed security, Plainclothes security, and armed Security Officer, Our training program is tailored for each category and our training exceeds the new state mandated training law.
Our personnel are standard regardless of the location of the job. When we find it necessary, we provide additional training, for the jobs that require it.
The training procedures are as follows:
-
Training involves on-going classroom sessions at NYS certify schools.
-
Field supervisors will frequently quiz the security officers on their retention of their training information.
-
If the security officer cannot demonstrate retention of the information, the officer is scheduled for another training class the following week. We continue the process until such time that all of the personnel are properly trained.
This training program in the field is continued until our security officer has complete knowledge of the site relative to his job. When particular duties do not apply to the job site at which the security officer is stationed, he is given additional instruction. Any security officer who cannot successfully complete training requirement for his job site is transferred to another site. If any one-security officer is transferred more than twice, he usually is suspended pending termination from our employment.
SUPERVISION
We maintain a system of twenty-four (24) hours supervision on each eight (8) hour shift, seven (7) days a week. The training of our new personnel is just one function of their complex duties. Each of our supervisors, before being advanced to that position, must be thoroughly familiar with each account we have.
Only then is he/she capable of responding to assist the security officers with any problem they may have.
These supervisors are on the road for most of their shift, and when they are not responding to calls for assistance, they are making unscheduled routine checks of the security officers. During these routine unscheduled checks, they meet with the company representative to determine what A.I.C can do to improve the security program. The other prime factor for being at the job site is to check the appearance and level of performance of the security officer on duty.
Our department heads are available to our clients on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, and are authorized to make judgments on behalf of the company.
We also have a contingent of armed Security Officers with valid permits to carry weapons, and a squad of the finest officers in this area for special duty.
TRUE MANAGEMENT THEORY
A.I.C true management theory goes beyond settling for satisfying the contract. We are sure that this is the only way to meet the ever-increasing needs and demands of our clients. We make a major investment in management time and resources to our accounts.
At A.I.C we firmly believe that there are three essential factors that determine the quality of service provided by any supplier in the contract security industry, they are:
Training and Supervision
Employee Screening and Selection
Management Response.
To be successful for our clients, we believe a strong link of daily communications is essential. We plan to establish a system whereby our Director of Operations will make frequent visits to our clients.
We are confident that the people who know us best, our clients and our employees, will support our claim of consistently demonstrating our commitment to quality. The true evaluation of security companies is the retention of clients.
