John R. Spencer Investigations - Connecticut's Premier Investigative Services

    Computer Forensics and Recovery

This particular investigative service, is unlike any other type of investigation. This is a complex investigation that involves data that is stored on the hard drive of a computer. Data such as deleted emails, web site addresses, chat room addresses and transcripts, photo images commonly known as jpeg images that appear on many sites, composed documents and much more. These are files that are commonly believed to have been totally deleted and removed from the computers hard drive. But contrary to those beliefs, it is quite often possible for these bits of information to be extracted and put back together, similar to that of a puzzle.

However, although this is a process that can be done, the answers will not be fully determined until after the data has been recovered and the findings are meticulously researched. The process involved to investigate a computer can be exceptionally time intensive. An average of seven hours is required before a basic assessment can be created. This assessment will help establish if the computer contains valuable information relative to the case.

Our trained and certified investigative personnel are prepared to assist you with this complex type of investigation. If you suspect that an employee might be giving away confidential information and trade secrets, or whether you suspect a spouse of using the computer for suspicious activity, whatever the reasons are for your suspicions, this process can be used to assist you with uncovering that necessary data.

This office and its team of professional and experienced investigator’s have many options available to them. So give us a call or send us an email and discover exactly why we’re Connecticut’s Premier Investigative Service.
